Information for Dealers Giving a Vehicle as a Gift

Dealers may not give vehicles as a gift to an individual, unless the dealer pays tax on the vehicle. If a dealership is donating a vehicle for a drawing or a raffle, the dealer must pay the sales tax on vehicle.
