This center, for PennDOT’s business partners or those interested in becoming a PennDOT partner, contains information in regard to conducting business with PennDOT, specifically for station owners/mechanics, messengers, temporary authority agents, salvage auctions and online dealer auctions as well as PennDOT’s on-line messengers. 

 
Commercial Driver's Information Center

If you are a commercial driver or are interested in becoming one, this center provides you with the latest state and federal laws and requirements.  Find out how to obtain the HAZMAT endorsement on your CDL, how to renew your CDL and what to do if you are a new resident who needs to transfer a CDL.  Also, use this center to learn more about the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act.

 
Driver Safety Information Center

Visit this center to obtain safe driving tips for motorcyclists, school bus drivers, teen drivers, older drivers and school bus safety tips for parents and students. Also, visit this center to learn what you can do if you are concerned about a personís driving ability. Physicians, who are required by law to report to PennDOT any patient 15 years of age or older, diagnosed as having a condition that could impair the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, can learn more about the law by visiting this center.

Medical Reporting Information Center

To help keep Pennsylvaniaís roadways safe for everyone, it is law in Pennsylvania that health care personnel who are authorized to diagnose and treat disorders and disabilities report to PennDOT any patient 15 years of age or older, who has been diagnosed as having a condition that could impair his or her ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. This information center provides a general overview of description of PennDOTís Medical Reporting Program, including the roles of health personnel and PennDOT roles in the process. Additionally, it serves as a resource for drivers and their families by providing links to online resources for those who can no longer drive along with downloadable brochures explaining the reporting process and how to maintain independence without continuing to drive.

School Bus Information Center
